Why Bolsa Became Foundry One

Hey everyone, thanks for taking the time to click on this post and read about our transition from Bolsa Supply to Foundry One. For those who have been following us since the beginning, you probably sensed some type of change or event coming. The main point of all this is the custom keyboard space has changed, and so have we.

Bolsa Supply started at the beginning of the keyboard boom. What began as a side project born out of obsession and curiosity quickly grew into something much bigger. We were shipping thousands of keyboards, switches, stabilizers, deskmats, and everything in between. We worked with brands we admired, and built a community around design, detail, and this shared obsession with expensive ass rectangles. It was an incredible ride.

But over time, the space shifted. The market became saturated, delays piled up, expectations changed, and more importantly—our passion started to fade. Like many others, we found ourselves burnt out. Not just by the product cycle, but by the feeling that we had to keep making things just to keep up.

We thought about shutting it down. More than once.

But every time we sat with the idea, something kept holding us back. We built this brand from nothing. And deep down, we knew we weren’t done making.

So after a long pause, a lot of reflection, and a lot of "what now?" conversations, we finally made the call: we're not shutting down. We're evolving.

Introducing Foundry One

Foundry One is the evolution of Bolsa Supply.

It’s a clean slate, but not a reset. We're carrying forward everything we learned and loved from our time design and building keyboards, and applying it to a broader range of things we're passionate about today.

Keyboards will always be part of our DNA. But Foundry One gives us the freedom to explore other forms of design without being tied to one category. It’s about creating useful, beautiful tools and objects—things that we surround ourselves with every day and excites us, exactly like how keyboards did.

We’ve always said: our hobby is hobbying. This is how we stay inspired.

So what happens to Bolsa Supply?

We’re beginning the transition immediately. The Bolsa Supply site will stay live temporarily as we clear out remaining inventory. Many of the products will be heavily discounted. Once that’s done, we’ll fully migrate over to Foundry One and redirect everything to the new site.

Our Discord and Instagram will also be rebranded, becoming a community space for Foundry One. It will remain a place to talk about keyboards, but also expand into the other areas we’re exploring: design, photography, lifestyle tools, and more.

If you were only here for keyboards, we totally understand if this is your exit. But if you're still here, we appreciate you more than you know.

Introducing Seido

We’re kicking off Foundry One with our first new product line: Seido, a collaboration with our friends at Hid.n. Seido focuses on clean, minimal home goods that carry the same design language we've always loved—premium materials, precise execution, and quiet utility.

Our first product is the Seido Incense Chamber, a CNC-machined aluminum incense holder inspired by our keyboard design roots. It’s in stock and shipping now.

The Elephant in the Room: What About Keyboards?

Are keyboards/keyboard accessories completely out of our lives now? Will we still be making anything related to the space? The short answer is yes — we’ll still be making keyboard-related products, but not in the same Bolsa Supply fashion you would think.

While Foundry One isn’t centered around keyboards the way our past work was, it’s still part of who we are. When a concept excites us, we’ll make it. No pressure, no hype cycles — just when it feels right.

Our first return to the space is already in motion: Damapad Type 2 — the next iteration of our signature macropad, redesigned with more intention and a design language that best suits our tastes today.

Looking Ahead

We’re also actively looking to connect with creators, reviewers, and content folks who want to work with us as we launch new ideas. If you're interested, feel free to reach out via Discord or email us at hello@foundryonestudio.com.

To everyone who supported Bolsa Supply: thank you. You helped shape what this brand became. We’re nervous and excited to build what’s next—and we hope you’ll come with us.
